Who owned this?
Discussion
So after letting my 400se go a good couple of years ago the itch is back.
What is it about a wedge ?
Im sure this is a well known car in Wedgy world. Its been at Amore Autos for a while now but before I go berserk all advice or knowledge history etc etc would be very welcome. I have read about the mods. Black 450 se reg G139YRE
Many thanks.
Neil
Can't fault Amore for trying to get wedge prices up
There's a satin green 400SE that's been up for a while (not sure if it's with them), looks familiar to me from years gone by unless it's the same colour as Adam Q's (or was it Jason Vaughan's I'm thinking of...?).
I also see that the ex-'Firefox' car (D659 YLP) is on the market, now repainted from mustard yellow to a vivid blue: thick end of £12K
Some folk will recall the early Wedgefest where the then-owner was adamant the car was originally built as a SEAC, crashed and subsequently rebodied as a 420SE...

A guy called Tim owned the green one several years ago, and it wanted for nothing. I've seen the black one, and although mechanically good, it needs a fair bit of work to get it tidy. There's also Bobs 430SE now up for sale. Stunning in every way, and as rare as.....
Ah! Is the black one 'cosmetically' challenged, or does it need fabrication? I would expect a retrim, veneer work is shot, and a paint job!! Anything else?Kindest regards,
Manic

Mechanically from what I saw, all looked good. The engine bay was dirty and needed detailing and interior certainly was a bit tatty. A decent bit of elbow grease would certainly improve things and a paintwork mop might get it presentable again. Kindest regards,
Manic
