Coolant Temp Sensor

Would anyone know the part number for the coolant sensor ( not the one for gauge)

At the top of this Wedge forum there is a thorough parts list. ERR2081 is the CTS. Cheers

No, I doubt it. The ERR2081 is for the V8, as per list. I assumed the request was for the V8 CTS. Is this not the case?

Hi Keith, it is a 280i ...although I cannot see a CTS for the 280 (I don't need one on my 280DH ATM, as I am not seeing an issue with mine) it would be a nice thing/number to know.

Edited to say that mine (86 car) has a Rist connector so mine must be different from the OP unit . A@

Mine is a 2.8 v6
It is odd that the connector on mine seems different than others I have seen

TVR lists 2 part numbers for what they are calling thermo-time sensors, one USA and the other European. A@

Thermotime sensors are totally different to the CTS. The thermotime runs the cold start injector and extra air valve on the V8, although they have the same connector as the CTS.

The one needed is the one to the left in the photo
Parts manual refers to as “ manifold temp ecu switch “

My bad both, sorry I was not looking at the picture correctly...Pictorial E1 part number 37. 125E 082A Switch - thermal E.C. U. - USA ( I see you are asking on the forum there BUT we are not seeing it on the UK/Europe cars) I am right in thinking this is relate to the Bosch emissions ECU that we don't see here. A@

the only sensor for the coolant incombination with the k-jetronic is the "thermal timing switch"...its a 2pin bi-metal sensor, located near the warm-up regulator.

yours look strange.
