Another Pod Question
Discussion
Hi all,
So for the last MOT (2022), I noticed that Pods when in rest position are at the same level in relation to the bodywork (alignment was mentioned in the 2021 MOT).
However, when both were raised the passenger Pod was visually a 1/4 of an inch or so lower than the driver's side and consequently the beam.
To align the beams I raised the passenger side, using the rose joint, however, the net result was the Pod when in the rest position was then protruding above the bodywork, I was happy with that for the MOT (and it passed eventually). I have now lowered it flush as was ultimately unhappy as it looked naff.
I have a few tutorials for removal and strip-down. My question is, are there any other adjustments that will higher the Pod when up while maintaining flush when down?
Many thanks

Hi,
Yes, there is a piece of pipe. This can be re-positioned forwards and backwards In honesty the quick look I had I don't recall the pipe touching anything.
It seemed that the rose joints and connecting bar was the controlling factor.
I have an endoscope-type thing but do not work on the devices I have due to different connections.
Edit just found out it works natively on PC appy day's.
Another winter job along with the core plugs.

The early version was simply a piece of 1/2" water pipe with a bolt forced through ...and later ones are the generic mushroom bobbin (I changed mine to later version last year). Both are anti-vibration limit stops (one on a slot through the shell for when the pod is down, one one the leading edge for when it is up) so that as you say, they hardly touch, with all the set up in the joints.
