Misfiring at low revs when warm
Discussion
Hi all,
Anyone else had issues with the 2.9 cologne misfiring at low revs when warm?
Bit of a weird one today - drove to work, left it for roughly 5 hours in the sun so it was nice and warm when I got back to it.
Started fine but smelt very rich. Got caught in town centre traffic, and after about 10 mins it started misfiring regularly when idling, like 1-2 cylinders stopped firing. Very lumpy and shakey, felt very close to stalling
When i'd accelerate it would chug for a few seconds until it crawled up to about 1.5k rpm. If I held it there it worked fine.
Seemed to be getting worse so I pulled in. If i started it again it would run with a consistent misfire from the left exhaust. By the time AA arrived it had cooled down and the missfire was gone.
Any thoughts?
