Does someone know the right number of the power steering pump in a 1986 wedge convertible?
The sticker on my pump says: 26179 /10017 /1
Rimmer offers the pump with the number: ERC 6969
Is it the correct part?

You will have probably found all this....

According to the parts list on this forum, the Rimmer Bros one is what is shown by you.
This link shows the pump that you have (RKC5084), but punts you off to the one you quote
https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID009023

The original part No may have been 038H 080A. Not that that probably helps nowadays.

IamWedgend, is in the know as he offered out his old one a while back.

Sorry if all the above is probably as helpful as a chocolate teapot scratchchin

Yes, I saw the parts list but I am still confused. Rimmer offers a ERC 1941 (not in stock) and a ERC 6969 (in stock). The pump at Rimmers picture seems to be the correct one, but I am not sure if the picture shows 1941 or 6969.
I sent an email to Rimmer to ask them and I hope they will answer.

I would have said that ERC6969 is probably a direct replacement just not manufactured by Hobourn, may be a Chinese / Indian replacement.

Okay, now I understand. At first I will wait for Rimmers answer and than I will dare to buy it.
Thank you very much
Happy Easter,

Oh, that's a very friendly offer. Thank you. I ordered the pump at Rimmer, but it isn't here yet. I guess it will last some time because of shipping and custom -formalities. When it arrived I will report if it matches.

Oh yes. The pump arrived, matched very well and now it works fine. I am very happy, first time after years no oil stains on the bottom 😁
