In order to carry out a bit of testing of both the CTs and thermotime switches on the 390SE this evening I headed to the utterly fantastic oracle that is the Vintage Model Airplane website. For those that don't know this site, it is the motherload of useful information regarding the Rover Efi system. Every drawing, diagnostic and scrap of information you will ever need is on this website. It was with much sadness that I noted that the creator of the website Ramon Alban died from Covid last November. Horribly sad and sympathies go out to his family, but I cannot thank the man enough for his wisdom and passion in capturing and creating this vast amount of technical data.

Yes as you say a sad day. My sympathies go out to his family and those that knew him.

As a recent owner of a TVR his many pages of information tips and hints have been most valuable. In the main, it stopped me from asking too many mundane questions to those better placed, due to my severe lack of knowledge of the RV8.
Covid-19 has played a big part in a lot of people's lives this past year and has a lot to answer for.

Ahh that's a shame. I know he was struggling with lukaemia for quite a while so he must have been very much at risk. Just before the vaccine became available too.

I met him once at Barrington classic meet, and chatted many times over email, he was always digging away at the logic and procedures of fault finding.

R.I.P. Ramon.
