Nothing to do with me either, but yes I did spot it. Looks tidy but little info. Price is very good if in good condition.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-350i/154270557385?h...

this one?

an advert with not much info, just mentioning a "fresh Mot" does not really say anything about a car´s condition.

no chassis pics, no engine pics, not really any pics which can be used for evaluating the condition.

It says all original which is self explanatory! “ totally original, a good project car”

That’s a lot of car for the money and genuinely looks rather tidy to me.

I think the idea must be to avoid tyre kickers, only someone genuinely interested would respond to this add you’d think.

also for me the car looks quite tidy....but with such a few pics....there is nothing to evaluate condition-wise.

this said: sales price+ (proper)respray+new hood+ a few bits here and there......you are ending at? 7k, 8k...? and than the car has still its non-refurbished original chassis (where the outriggers, hidden invisibly inside the sills are most likely shot), original suspension, non-refurbished drivetrain.....

unfortunately the wedge-series does not have a high value...so throwing money in such a project soon arrives at a the level where you don't get your investment back. or were you can buy a better car, ready to enjoy, without making your hands dirty.

It's a known car on one of the FB groups and seems to have been loved and cherished. Plenty of pics of it out and about. Believe they've lost their storage facilities, so are having to sell with some regret.

How sad.

You can normally tell straight away with these cars, ok you can’t see chassis but if your any good with a welder no big deal.
She looks lovely.

As I say genuine interest would likely open up a treasure trove of receipts pictures etc.

Yes clearly you can go and buy something else but nothing looks or sounds like a Tvr.
If you desire such a car these things are dirt cheap.

if the car is well know on FB with plenty of pics....why such a poor ebay presentation?

if i want to sell something...or like in this case "if i´m forced to sell", i would do everything to promote my item as best as i can to achieve the best price possible.

this ebay advert looks been made in a rush, were the buyer does not get the "feeling" that the seller has loved and cherised his car.

Or maybe, Nicols, they are too upset about it to do a better job?

There's some more detail now and some more pictures. At the end of the day, an advert is designed to gain some initial interest and further discussion can follow thereafter. Not everyone will give chapter and verse in an advert - you don't buy these cars on the strength of a few photos and some rhetoric.

Maybe rushed, indeed. I understand the loss of storage was due to the death of the friend providing it...
