What mod's have you made to get this figure ? are these from a 350 ??
I had my chim 4.0HC R/Road tuned and it came back with a figure of about 180bhp at the wheels, about 225 at the fly. I was rather disapointed at first but after talking to other members this seems to be around the correct figure as the factory figures are way over the top !!!
Well the spec is;
3.9 Ltr block
Much head work - large inlet valve with porting and combustion chamber work 3 angle seat and 10.8:1 compression
Rhoads lifters / followers
Isky 278° cam
Grp A trumpet set (45mm x38mm)
Bored out throttle body
Cut & shut inlet plenum to increase capacity
lightened, balanced bottom end etc
All controlled by an Emerald mappable ECU
Just need to sort the body out now having crashed it 4 weeks ago
Can anybody reccommend a good fibreglass bodyshop around Northampton?

I can't say how much the Emerald ECU is worth power wise as I've always run it ever since I started modifying the engine a couple of years ago. I would however reccommend the unit to anyone as it has been reliable, easy to use and very reasonably priced (£600). Quick run-down of the features;
3D spark & fuel maps
Hot programmable
Windows / excel compatible
No funny programmer etc required boggo laptop is perfectly fine 486/25 only.
Closed loop fuelling
Idle speed control
TPS or MAP sensor input
Water & air temp correction
Software /code changes via E-mail
It should be better than the standard ECU as the spark is mapped as opposed to the std clockwork / distributor.
Go and have a look for yourself.

For my 600 quid I got the
ECU
Wiring loom - requires splicing into car loom
Air & water temp Sensors
software
Comms lead
Ignition ampflier
Bear in mind that this system is not a plug in replacement, you have to do a fair bit of wiring and then to have to map it! At that point you'll believe the carburettor to be the finest piece of engineering you've ever seen.
