Personally much of a cars history goes with its plate, especially if it's been a show car or press car. I'd therefore always leave the original plate on it.

Buy a personal plate WED61E, might not just be the price that will bring tears to your eyes.

I put a spare private plate I had on the SEAC but then I missed it's original 1988 reg which I concluded was part of its character. I changed it back again and put the private plate on an old banger which is quite fun!

Then again I bought one with a private plate that has been on the car for most of its life so I'm leaving it on.

Mine still has the original Northern Ireland registration, so it kinda looks personalised already!

Are we likely to see it at the next BBWF, whenever that may be? Cheers.

There's a fair few SEACs now up and running and still in the UK (at least 9 at last count) so would be good to see how many we can get together. Cheers.

Its up to you some of the private plates look good on a wedge, some dont, I have private plates on all my cars apart ftom the wedge.

As it was one of the first 1987 model year cars registered by TVR in late 1986, and as the Wedge in the model leaflets that year and also the Wedge the main man at TVR was running about in were in the same run of 5 number plates, it just seems wrong to put a private plate on it.
