Been down to see Mr Thorpe at RT Racing ( AKA Wedge Automotive as was ) today to discuss some work he’s just done on my 400se. Had the rear suspension pretty much re-built. Very happy with the work done. I’m bloody lucky to be about 8 mins drive from his workshop !! The verdict …… Feels like a different car ! While I was down there Richard pointed out a few new ‘Shiny’ bits he’s had manufactured. Of real interest were some alloy instrument rims. My instruments were looking pretty crappy so I took my life in my hands ( the wifes still not recovered from the rear suspension rebuild … if you know what I mean !! ) and bought a set. They look bloody great ! ‘ bout £35. Heres a few pics :-

Hi Andy. No messing with the dash and they are a spot on fit. They are not fastened in the the pics, just resting. Richard suggested a bit of Silicon Sealer or something similar should do the trick.

What you used for the Plenum then ? Had a go at polishing mine but not with very good results.

I started polishing mine ( using a milling machine and an arbour wheel at dads school ) this was very time consuming, so I opted to use Heat resistant enamel paint, mask off the top (ribs and 400 badge), spray a few good layers on, and when it dried, I have been polishing the top ribs with a very fine file. Will post some Pix when I get a chance.
