Hi all Cars running lovely now and I know they crackle and pop on the overrun but I get a large bang when changing up when accelerating hard ,just wondered if there all like it or if there's anything amiss . Cheers
If the overrun valve has been wound in then yes..as you de-accelerate the excess fuel gets ignited...the absence of air causes the fuel to explode instead of burn...if it blows the manifolds off then worry...
Been out for a spin in the 390 this evening to pick the daughter up from dance class and if I'm hoofing it then likewise as I drop the clutch to change up there's a bang/pop out of the exhaust before I select the next gear. All part of the Wedge driving experience I think.
