has anyone made progress w/ the V8 swap in a 280i
Discussion
If you look through previous wedge posts the consensus of opinion is that a 280 does not have the necessary brakes, suspension, chassis layout to support much of a power increase. The early cars rear suspension design/geometry is not up to the task. If you really wish to go V8 I suggest sell the 280 and buy a 350/400 and upgrade from there (staying with the Rover V8). A 460 conversion with brakes and suspension will give you a very fast, reasonable 'safe' car.
