Plugs B7ECS How long should they last ??????
Discussion
Hi,
I run B7ECS plugs in my Wedge, and I have noticed in other postings that they recomend they should be replaced at about 5000 miles. I have done nearly 15000 miles on two engines a standard 350i and a 460i V8 Developments monster and they seem fine no misfires etc, why are 5000 miles suggested as the replacment time ?

Not sure whats in mine. Looked after by some one else motor but looked like NCK boxes when he changed them after 9,000 miles. All the previous services (3000 mile intervals) he checked them and left them.
Checking for electrode wear?
Looks like a nice motor by the way

After having a plug fail in a modified mini engine once I wouldn’t chance anything, I was very surprised when the various engine shops that were consulted said it was the spark plug that had destroyed my newly built engine. If the service interval is 5000 I’d change them, its not like they cost a fortune when compared to what could happen.
