Arabian 460 SEAC
LHD, auto, 4.6 SEAC spotted at Zolder
Discussion
SEAC - Special Edition Aramid Composite.
Basically it means that it's kevlar (you should be able to see the weave through the paint if you have a close look.
Couldn't tell from the photos if it is a SEAC, but don't think that many true SEAC's were made... think they ended up being GRP like the rest of the range.
I'm sure Steve Heath or Ted would know...

There are several variants of the SEAC from what I gather. The proper ones were a stainless steel chassis, rose jointed suspension and a kevlar body. They also had the biggest Rover V8 of any TVR at that point with the 4.2 This featured numerous enhancements over the 3.9 as I remember. There were very few SEACs produced to this spec, although I have a feeling that Sean Hayes' SEAC is a full-spec item as I'm sure I knew it's original owner...!
This car is a 450 SE not a 460 SEAC.
It belongs to Tim Wood who is a member of PH and would happily discuss the car.
It is very special and like no other Wedge around with a ZF Auto box, incredible sound system and more radiators than you could throw a stick at.
There are 2 of them. The sister car is red and has dissappeared. I'll let Tim tell you the rest of the story

Stop that! You're making my wallet itch.

Any idea What makes a SEAC a SEAC ?
Cheers for confirming that this is an SE and not a SEAC. Most of the SEAC stuff was optional; but I'd never heard of the nose and flares being missed off a SEAC.

Arabian SEAC. There was a Saudi 420 SEAC. Sprint Aug 1994 reported it had been shipped back to the UK. It looks like a 'normal' SEAC.
Stainless steel chassis. I've only heard one one SEAC with this fitted. I believe it was an experiment and was never made an option.
Tea Tray spoiler. At least one SEAC was specified without the trademark spoiler.
Rose jointed suspension. Sprint in Aug 1994 reported that only two cars came with fully rose jointed suspension, some were partial rose jointed and some had none at all.
Kevlar body. About 12 were made with Kevlar of which 3 were reported to still exist by Sprint in Aug 1994. At least one SEAC was made with a carbon-fibre body. Most SEACs were made with a glass body.
There's a 460SE for sale in the ads. I should know, it's mine

And your keys would be grasped firmly in my hot sticky flipper by now, if I could just get Mrs Imelda to accept the styling.

Sean - Checking Spring Aug 1994, you are right. However, it also looks like gunmetal grey TVR 420S is also spoilerless !!!!
TVR 420 S has a spoiler now as well as a boot full of ICE/Audio stuff. Owner Steve Beck races (or used to) in the Tasmin Challenge. That car was previously owned by Tim Lamont who also owned an F reg red SEAC.
Thankfully I forget who owns Tims old red SEAC.
Blah Blah
I'm getting my coat again...
