Anybody going to Moorside Hotel nt Stockport 25/26/27 June £50 B&B listed in meetings and events?

The TVRCC ROAR event used to be just for Chimaeras. Not any more! Its is now open to ALL TVR enthusiasts! As they say, variety is the spice of life!

We want people will all types of TVR to come along and show off their GRP! Wheather they are totaly original or modified to the hilts, come down and let everyone see your pride and joy!

Classic Car magazine will be there and will be Judging our car show categories. They will also be writing an article about the event, so here's your chance to get your car featured in one of the countries leading national car publications!!

We have been working long and hard on a format that will give you the chance to meet lots of specialised TVR suppliers, meet fellow enthusiasts, make new friends and drive on some of the UK's most awesome driver's roads! You of course will have the chance to do absolutly nothing and enjoy the hotel, its Spa and its fabulous facilities. Oh, and by the way, ITS FREE to attend!!!!

LOCATION: We have chosen the Moorside Grange Hotel and Spa near Stockport (On the edge of the peak district). We have the whole hotel and all of its grounds booked out for us. The hotel manager has been extremely accomodating and they are putting on great food/menus throughout the weekend for us. (A BBQ will be avaiable all day on Saturday and Sunday). For those who want to stay overnight the accomodation will be charged at £30/person per night (B&B) based on 2 sharing a double room. Access to the Spa is included in the rate, but excludes treatments.

WHAT's HAPPENING?: As well as the car show and the exhibitor's stands, of which there will be many, we are inagurating the ROAR CHAlLENGE. This will involve Team and Individual categories. This is open to both TVRCC members and any event visitors.

We are encouraging our exhibitors to put on a show. By this I mean actually show you what they do/make and most importantly, make loads of noise! Because of the recluded nature of the hotel's location, there aren't any neighbours for miles around! A rolling road, or 2, will be present on which exibitors will be able to demonstrate their products. The rolling roads will also be open to you to see how well your engine is performing!

The Porsche Owners club have already accepted our invitation to attend the event, so there will be a few metal bodied cars as well!

All in all we are planning for an attendance of 400 people over the course of the weekend. (Fingers crossed!) The grounds are more than big enough for this number, so we hope we will fill it to the brim!!

The weekend's events include, but are not limited to:

A Concours competition - Judged by Classic Car Magazine (Confirmed!!)
A most Modified competiion - Judged by Classic Car Magazine (Confirmed!!)
A most Well Used competition - Judged by Classic Car Magazine (Confirmed!!)
A Photographic competition - Best photo of the weekend will win a prize.
A Shooting/firing competition - Best shot award/prize.
A Treasure hunt - A drive round the peak district collecting evidence along the way.
A Driving Skills competition - A vehicle based challenge (TBC), The company we have in mind make some awesome machinery!!
A 'the Noisiest TVR' competition - I think you get the picture;)
A BHP competition - Highest BHP TVR award
A Brawn competition - A Team event
A Brains competition A Team event
