Anyone doing this? I heard about it through the RAF Motorsport Association and signed up, but have very little info apart from what the organiser told me over the phone.

Anyone know - no. of cars / type of cars / how much fuel I'm likely to use / type of surface etc? Even how to get there as I have nothing on paper yet...
Cheers!

Isn't there a bike one on a very similar date???

Surface is supposed to be grippy air port standard tarmac so will do the world of good if your looking to wear your tyres quickly.

Do you have a link to site / booking info??? RAF valley is (for security of course) very well signed from the A55 Anglesey so you'll have no problem finding it.

As for fuel there's a garage in Valley (probably the nearest to RAF Valley) which is some 5 or so miles away, i think its the next junction along off the A55

Not done it myself and will be away while its on, so no go for me frown

There is definetly some charity track days going on at RAF Valley around those dates, few lads I met at Ty Croes were asking me to come along for the bike one but not sure about cars.

I'll be there on the sunday (20th), the saturday is a bike day i think.
Its £50, so a bargain even if the track maybe a little dull compared to Ty-Croes.
Just can't decide whether to take the light rwd kit car, or the heavy 4wd turbo jobbie......

Fingers crossed *should* be going, all depends on some suspension parts arriving from down under and me getting them fitted in time. Should be interesting to see how the old barge handles!

Thanks for all the replies chaps. Yes Saturday 19th is a bike day; and no it's not at Ty Croes.
I'll be there on Sunday - red Nova GTE. Can get plenty of tyres in as they're only little 13"s!!
I'll be at Marham a fortnight later too - 6th time there for me.
Home - Angelsey is about 180 miles for me so will be somewhat bleary eyed...

This is a great day out but the surface is interesting if it gets wet (mix of high grip and std tarmac). Plus, be prepared for some stone chip damage.

I did this a couple of years ago. As mentioned above the surface is 'interesting' in the wet, but it was all very well organised and the circuit was good fun overall. There's a lot of run off in places so you can have a good play!

I'd suggest that you put yourselves in a higher group than you would normally as there were some really slow cars/drivers there, but you can always move during the day.
