Afternoon all!

I'm heading to N Wales this weekend for photo duties (VXR888) and I was planning to shoot on Black Rock Sands beach however, as I'll need the perfect light (sunrise) I wanted to check that you can gain access 24hrs? I've looked all over the web and I can't seem to find any 'opening hours'(only: 'make sure your car is out by 8 else you'll get locked in', this could work in my favour though as I was panning on sleeping in the car), does anybody have any ideas?

Also, once I'm done at the beach, I wanted to find some good quiet roads for photos. Ideally the roads would lead into the horizon and I'd be looking for brilliant views accross the mountains. I'd also love to find some old coal mines, quarries and resevoir bridges that can be accessed by car. If anybody could help it would be much appreciated!

Many thanks

Dean

Some cracking photos on your website!

Not sure about when the sands open, to be honest I wasn't aware that they could be locked!

There are plenty of great roads around, it all depends on what time you expect to get out shooting.

Some great spots along the Llanberis pass, the from Capel Curig to Bedgelert and the surrounding area.

Depending on what you're driving, there are some fantastic mountain tracks above Maentwrog with stunning views and the roads?! (tracks) are deserted. Simply follow your nose turn off towards villages like Croeso and follow the signpost to the next village. You can't go fast, and you'll need to get out to open and close the gates, but you should find some great secluded locations for shots.

These aren't suitable for anything exotic, but normal ride height cars are fine, so you will probably be ok.

Too be honest, anywhere around Snowdon A485, A4086, A5, A498 etc., get the timing right (before the tourists arrive) and you'll probably find yourself spoilt for choice for photo opportunities.

Have a safe journey and a great day, I look forward to seeing the results.

Keep up the good work, they really look superb!

Regards, Neil
