Know anything about VOSA Ford Galaxy's?

See these regularly parked up on the A55 Chester side of Queensferry, bottom of the hill before St Asaph, and a couple of other spots too.

I've noticed before that the driver has had a speed gun pointing at the traffic, and they also seem to have something similar on the roof.

Does anyone know why they are there and what they are doing? Keep meaning to ask someone!

they are always on the A55 not far from holyhead, they are always sorting out the lorrys etc that are about to go on the ferry, but i believe they have been given the power to use speed cameras like traffic cops.

Crap, I better start slowing down past them. I usually see them escorting trucks to the nearby checkpoints with "follow me" displayed in the rear window.

I thought that they are purely after wagons (wagons going over the speedlimit of 56) and have never heard of them 'doing' anyone else for speeding or other motoring offences.


Please dont quote me on this but I know I wouldn't worry about passing one on the 55!
