North Wales visit
Discussion
I would like to visit North Wales in the very near future along with my wife, car and another couple in their car, Recently did a trip around the lochs in Scotland and had a great time.
Would like some feed back on nice places to visit and stay along with good driving roads to open up our 997's.
Whilst in Scotland meet up with their Porsche owners club and went out with them on a run and then lunch after would be great to do something similar with Pistonhead members and/or Porsche club members.
Thanks in advanced for any help
kind Regards
Steve

Chester is a great base, loads of pubs, restaurants etc and not far then to N. Wales.
Try Evo triangle, lots of info on this route in Roads forum. Is fabulous road and we go there a lot in TVR days out. All round Snowdonia are brilliant roads, but watch out for the pigs, lots of them about and in unmarked cars.

icb and Johnbear many thanks for your replies,
Great photo of your march trip john looks like loads of fun, cheers for the info I'll be thinking of all those TVR's travelling on the same roads before me.
When I get to do it Im unsure about at the moment.
Have you any recommendations on hotels/guesthouse.
Thanks Again

I'd use the Lion Quays,Chirk, as a base to enter North Wales. You could end up in Abersoch for the night (Cannes of North Wales - full of Porsches). Thinking about it, I'll send you our March tour route around Abersoch; needs to be done in the off season but brillant roads. Send it to you Thursday night.
Great little Inn, fantastic food at reasonable prices plus a double with B/fast for £25 pp. Book room 1 and it's a four poster
Great spot with real guest ales

Early Decemebr spent three days at this place on Angelsey with the wife and Z3,
Tre-Ysgawen hall Hotel and Spa.
A bit more than the B&B but has indoor pool, gym and stuff like that, large 4 poster and jacuzzi in the top rooms.
It was ideal for touring out down to Snowdon and such like
