Hi Guys - I'm cross posting this in the Midlands section too, just in case anyone can help..

My friend is starting a new job in Oswestry, can anyone offer any advice as to renting a room/property there. Preferably a room for now. I've drawn a bit of a blank, tried looking on a few websites.. flatmateclick.com and have had no response.

Any info would be so so useful smile

Try giving bowen son and watson a call- they are local estate agents and have a letting section too.
01691 652367

Wingetts are also local to the area.(although more towards wrexham)

there are several smaller villages near to oswestry which may offer better prices for accomodation:
whittington
chirk
gobowen
weston rhyn
st martins

hope that helps

Oswestry Estate Agents aren't the most helpful in the world! Most only open part day on Saturday, others are shut all weekend!!

The major players:-

Bowen Son & Watson 35 Bailey St, Oswestry 01691 652367
Dalton & Co The Estates Office 20 Salop Rd, Oswestry 01691 655334
Halls Estate Agents Queens Courtyard Oswald Rd, Oswestry 01691 670320
Norman Lloyd & Co 13 English Walls, Oswestry 01691 653243
Your Move 4 Oswald Rd, Oswestry 01691 654989

hi i live in oswestry,if i was your friend i would pop down and have a look around ,their is loads of town centre 1 bedroom flats available, got lots of mates paying as little as 50 pounds a week for rooms in some of the big old town houses with shared lounges etc,out of town seems more expensive but some real nice country side to explore.great pubs aswell about 40 in town centre ,nice and lively at week ends
