hi guys,

FYI, a new rolling road has opened in Neston, Wirral (just near the 2 mills garage). Took the 'Z' there yesterday and got it tested. They have only been open a couple of months and are offering good deals to attract business. they have a 4WD Dyno Dynamics rolling road, also offering ECU remapping.

Dyno Demon - 0151 336 5888

On with the tuning smile

Hi Simon
Long time since I saw you on Pistonheads,
At last a rolling road near to North Wales, what was the cost of the session?
My Fireblade Fury will be finished at the end of the month hopefully I will get the figures I am hopeing for?rofl Engine should be 150BHP and since the car only weighs 450Kg should come out around the 330BHP per tonne.
Have you still got that mad golf Mk1?
Regards

Hi, Sorry to butt in on your post but there's also a very good rolling road in Hawarden as well if it's any closer to you.
AB Garage
Unit 167B Castle Close
Hawarden Industrial Park
Manor Lane
CH5 3QX
01244 537701
I know of at least 5 people who have taken their kitcars there and none of them could speak highly enough of them. There is another one in gresford near wrexham as well, but i wouldn't recomend him as when i took mine there he was very very expensive, i'll go to AB Garage next time.
Hope this maybe of some help Paul

Hi Mathew, good to hear from you again. yes I've finally got the golf on the road. Its pushing around 250bhp and weighs approx 800kg, but i'm going to get it on the dyno.

hoping to get over to the triangle in it smile

Paul, what dyno do they have?

Apparantely the Dyno Dynamics rolling road is one of the best u can get (i don't know that much about them) but its the most accurate, so i have been told. its also 4WD.

what cost is the one in hawarden?

Hi, Not sure of the costs in hawarden or what machine they have, although from the lads that have used them they're telling me around £100 pound for setting up a car, but obviously it depends on what needs doing i suppose. The garage in Gresford i used wanted to charge me £370nono but eventually we came to an aggrement on the cost. But in there defence i must admit the smoothness of the power delivery and and drivability of the engine was excellent and could not be faulted. As for accuracy of rolling roads, well thats another subject all together, because i've seen some graphs with power figures 30-40 bhp up on mine but when i've been on the track with them there didn't seem to much differance in performance. So in my limited experiance i don't really pay to much attention to these figures unless all the cars have been setup on the same dyno.
Hope this is of some help
Paul
