I'm planning a trip to Bangor in early August with my two kids (Boy 6 & girl 10) - can the PH collective offer any insight as to what we could do?

So far, I've had the beaches and Electric Mountain suggested as well as to consider Snowdon - Are there any other things I could consider?

Thanks

JTW

Gratuitous photos of me arriving in Araf will be taken smile

Can’t remember what’s its callled, but there is an activity type eco forest - it’s signposted on A55
There’s also the zip wire in llanberis, and the wave machine(not sure how close it is, but not far)

Over the bridge onto to Anglesey - loads of stuff - Tacla Taid (motor museum), anglesey Sea Zoo,

Have a look at facebook (yeah, I know) a guy on there promotes all sorts - ‘Anglesey socialmedia’

Or, there’s Anglesey circuit .......

Obviously, just hope the weather is kind

The Ffestiniog steam railway

Have your photo taken outside Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch railway station on Anglesey

Llandundno/Conwy is quite nice

Have a look online at Pili Palas Nature World and GreenWood Forest Park.

Then there the castles, Beaumaris & Caernarfon.

I live in the Conwy Valley and there is loads to do around here.

1. Forest Coaster which is a roller coaster through the woods at the same location as the Treetop adventure (which is ace!). Both excellent fun, not too expensive. The coaster hits 30mph and is a right buzz. My 6 year old absolutely loves it (don't use the brake daddy!).

2. Zipworld- 90mph across the old slate quarries. What's not to like?

3. Bounce Below- basically a load of net trampolines which you bounce down into the guts of the mine.

4. Surf Snowdonia- 5 mins from me. It is a bit dear for the surfing but you can go and sit, have a decent pizza and a beer and watch the fun. They have a soft play and a sort of Total Wipeout thingy also.

5. A walk up Snowdon if the weather is good. Or Siabod which is 10 mins from Snowdon.

6. Electric Mountain is a good shout. Very interesting.

7. You can hire canoes/boats on the lake below number 5 and there are loads of nice little spots to have a picnic.

That's just a few. There is just so much to do in North Wales, whether free or at a price. Enjoy.

This is really helpful, thanks - I'm trying to work out how many days I want to be over for (I'm staying with a friend) so this will help me plan. I don't really want bored 6 & 10 year olds...
