Years ago you could take a car on the beach, can you still do this? I'm thinking drive out there park on the beach, pitch my beach tent and camp the night, can you do this? I'm planning on one night only, anyone done this or is it allowed?
You do realise that you just asked the exact same question 3 times in the one sentence. Thats quite impressive. So in response, I don't know if you can do this, have no idea if it can actually be done. Going on the sand with a car. cant answer this one.
what happens if there is an unusually large wave and you get washed into the sea?
dont really know anything about this beach, but i wouldnt be parking my car on any beach incase it gets salt water all over it and it rusts, and even the air is salty from spray, so a good way to rust out a car.

As my great grandmother used to advise after three days raving on a camping trip on the sands...
"Back once again for the renegade master,
D4 damager, power to the people.
back once again for the renegade master,
D4 damager, with the ill behavior.
Back once again, with the ill behavior..."
It was only years later that I realised she was right.
So yes, yes you can.

I'll be with my two young daughters, I thought it would be an adventure for them, so no disco biscuits Mobsta"Back once again for the renegade master,

Ive camped on a beach before.
I emailed the beach authority and asked permission first. They were fine with it as long as we were sensible and cleaned up.
As for parking on the beach, i wouldnt. Id much rather park somewhere more solid.
Your car could quite easily become stuck if it sinks into the sand (highly possible with a heavy car with skinny tyres).
You need to be careful where you camp though. If the water comes up whilst you are asleep you are as good as dead, imagine unzipping a tent whilst at sea? Id rather not.
Edited to add: i doubt normal waves would be strong enough to sweep a tent with people sleeping out to sea.

Yes. You can drive on the beach for a small fee (IIRC £5)
From experience, you might get told off by the baywatch bloke if you try drag racing though
Wow. How lucky it was that they've all got 4x4 vehicles. From experience, you might get told off by the baywatch bloke if you try drag racing though
I wouldn't take a 2wd on that dangerous deep unpredictable sand.

Not sure if serious........I wouldn't take a 2wd on that dangerous deep unpredictable sand.
Its an extremely firm beach that any car can safely drive on. Its not Morecambe bay FFS!
Do you just not get jokes at all?
Whilst on the topic of beaches and Sands, what is this one called.
I'll describe it.
It's near Newcastle and it floods.
You can't drive there at high tide.
The road leads to a castle (maybe)
And if you try to walk across, apparently there is lots of quicksand which will gobble you up.
The road is visible at low-medium tide, it's drivable. But not at high tide.
Also, there is a house of slightly ugly people who will try to sell you sandwiches on the way up there.
Anyone know it?
