Nottingham to Abersoch

I'm going up to Abersoch in August and want to treat my car to some decent roads if possible.
I went there for the first time last weekend (great place) and used the M6/M56 and then on towards Pwllheli (?).

I (we) got a bit lost - doesn't appear to be a straight forward easy route into Abersoch - and ended up in some little villages near Pwllheli on some nice roads.
Can't for the life of me remember exactly where it was.

So, would anyone be able to give me a nice twisty route suitable for the Exige that won't take much longer than the 3.5 hrs it took last week?

Hmm if you got to Pwllheli, the road goes straight out of there to Abersoch???
Basically, A55,Caernarfon/skirt Pen-y-groes/Pwllheli to Abersoch....

Don't bother with the M56 A55.
Nottingham to Telford, then follow A458 to the A470 to Porthmadog and on to Pwllheli and Abersoch
