Hotel/B&B recommendations ..

Doing a tour of some of Scotland in August and am looking for some recommendations on B&B's/hotel's in the following locations .....

Oban
Fort William
Portree (Isle of Skye)
Invergarry area
Inverness
Aviemoore

All sorts of place can be found, but I am looking for recommendations based on experience, please.

Have read with interest the post's on Optimax , looks like ocatne booster then !

Yep, we'll be in the Griffith from the 16th Aug to 26th Aug.

We're going via the BSB round at Croft on the 15th on the way up and via the BSB round at Cadwell Park on the 28th on the way down.

Coupple of days in Glasgow at the start and Edinburgh on the way back. With one stop at Hawick to pay my respects to a legend and then the rest of the trip is basically ...

Glasgow to Oban
Oban round Ben Nevis to Fort William
Fort William to Mallaig
Mallaig to Armendale on Skye
Portree to Loch Torridon
Loch Torridon to ??????

Got that bit left at the moment and was contemplating going across to Aviemore but everyone seems to have a bit of downer on it .... considering some suggestions from Apache on other places to visit.

We're having a couple of days on Skye and at Loch Torridon ... the rest are one nighters really.

Looking forward to it a lot as I go to Edinburgh regularly on business and haven't 'explored' Scotland yet...

A87 Glenshiel & A890 Glencarron = best roads for a TVR in Britain - if you can do them at a quiet time of day (ie early morning)!

I've only ever seen 2 or 3 TVRs in the Torridon Applecross area... so you'll be easy to spot!
