'tis a shame much of it has degenerated into barely B road standards,pot hole,lots of broken tarmac and worst of all lots of tiny loose gravel. Went over it this morning on my 916,bladdy horrendous,such a shame.
If you think that's bad try going on at Aberfoyle to Inversnaid. Last time we went a couple of months back there were 5 cars with tyres off the rims on the road (including some poor family in a new Disco3 that couldn't get the wheel off due to damage!)
