This is sad

I fish Loch awe ever year and everybody who fishes there knows its a dangerous place and you have to be careful. What this story doesn't tell you though is there wasn't a boat available for over an hour to help them. The guys were screaming for help but nobody could go help them as there isnt a rescue boat on the Loch as it was to expensive to keep and had to wait for one coming from Glasgow. Plus what made them cross the Loch in the fog with 4 of them in the boat... Madness. My heart goes out to the families as I personally know 3 people that have lost their lifes on the Loch in the past

Terribly sad, the friend on the bank who heard
them calling out for help for over an hour and
could do nothing but wait for the rescue boat is awful.
It had to come from Renfrew according to the papers
my condolences to the familys

This is terrible! Like jkennyd i'm familiar with the loch and know someone who lost their life on it. It is a dangerous place which must be respected. I find it very frustrating that they had to wait on a unit from Renfrew to appear with a boat! FFS, surely they could have "borrowed" one from Loch Awe village! Also they could hear them but couldn't find them, I would've thought the helicopter would have the latest thermal imaging camera on board?

Very sad.
