Alloy Wheel Powdercoating - Aberdeen
Discussion
I know, I know, covered before, but my search only comes up with Finnesse in cotton street.
My question is, is there anywhere in ABZ that does a drive in drive out type service.
My golf gti has the nasty peeling lacquer on the machine polished finish and I cant be arsed with the hassle of removing the wheels and getting the tyres off and delivering them for a 1 week turnaround.
Looking for somewhere that maybe offers this service?
Smartalloy.co.uk cant do the machine polish finish and they were quite expensive when VAT was added.
Any pointers appreciated.

Here are two more I came across -

A friend of mine got his alloys powedercoated in Kintore (I can't remember the name of the place). If memory serves me right he was circa £50 per wheel and turn around time was pretty quick.

Following that one up with the place in Carnoustie Tim.
What was the quality like based on such a quick turnaround?
The alloys were in a shocking state before I got it done - really badly pitted - I took the car along to let him see first and he warned me they wouldn't come up perfect but they turned out a lot better than I expected. What was the quality like based on such a quick turnaround?
He added a little 'sparkle' to the mix to distract from any pitting that may be left and it works.
When I went along he had a selection of wheels hanging up including some E46 M3 ones so I take that as a good recommendation. The place was also recommended by a couple of folk and a garage in Dundee.
He also mentioned he has a rarely used Lotus Esprit Turbo and owns or had a TVR Griffith so he seems to be a petrolhead as well.
Cost (for a Fiat Coupe) was £240 and remember that if you took along just your wheels you'd still have to pay a garage to remove your tyres before they went and then refit them afterwards.
Give Scott a call at Motorwerks. He should be able to sort you out.
