We have an A3 which we only have one ignition key for (since we bought it) and it is faulty I believe and occasionally doesn't start the car, immobiliser logs a key fault when this happens, I bought a replacement pair of keys and matching key barrel from Audi and believed I had the immobiliser access code on some of the paperwork we got with the car (second hand), unfortunately it seems the access code written down is not the correct one as I cannot log into the immob (using VAG-COM). So, any recommendations for someone to get me the access code and pair the new keys . . . Perth area . . . I guess I could take it to a dealer but I would also expect to pay vastly more for the same job . . .

TIA

I have just done my A4's keys, i have the usb cables to do it, what you need is a vag-tacho cable which will give you access to the imobiliser codes and able to code the key to the car.

Look on ebay you will find the cables.

Else, there are a few companies in the yellow pages which will do it for you, i lost the number i was given for a good one.

If you buy one off ebay, dont buy one from china, they dont work, uk sellers are more expensive but actually work.
