This car belongs to a good friend of mine and was stolen from outside his house last night in Glasgow Quay last night around Midnight,

The car is very distinctive due to the cleanliness of the car, the rare factory delete sunroof, Very very rare alloys, as well as being a Dumfries and Galloway registered import EG (Will be the only one in the country)

Has been seen around Maryhill area today

If you could keep an eye out for the car and PM me if you find anything out about this car, i will be greatful and i can't imagine you will go without reward from the owner if this is found

Just spotted this in East Kilbride. Past the Whirlies roundabout, abandoned, front nearside suspension looks damaged as car is resting on wheel. Holding up commuter traffic.

Now that I'm on my laptop... the car was at the Birniehill roundabout just before you take a left on to the Strathaven Road.

Hope the car is recovered ok.

Cheers, i've passed this onto a few friends more local than me who can confirm if it's there before telling the owner it's there, don't want to get his hopes up only for it to be gone again

The car looked fine apart from the front nearside suspension damage as I crawled past it.

Good to see it being found. I had to do a double-take when I saw the car. I was thinking... where do I remember seeing this... ah, Pistonheads... it's been nicked!

idea

Cheers, for spotting it, had folk from hondatech out checking asap once i read this.

From what has been seen so far, the bottom balljoint has worked it's way broken again, which we had told the owner to replace, as it looked questionable the last time he was down visiting. In a way i'm glad he didn't fix it so soon

I'd imagine he'll have the car back now and on route to buy an alarm and a balljoint

Totally agree. Although it's scant consolation to the guy whos car was nicked, it's heartening to see everyone pull together to keep an eye out for it and help out. I saw threads about this on a few scottish forums, and it was good to see everyone exchanging information, advice and sightings.

No matter what our niches - modified, tuned, general petrolhead, etc - we're all car enthusiasts on the same side, and most of us can empathize with the sickening feeling of discovering some wee d1ckheads have stolen or broken into our cars. Still st for the Civic owner, but reassuring to see everyone pull together and help the guy out. Glad he's got it back in one peace, and with a bit of luck they'll catch whoever did it.

Your so right...I'd like to think if something happened to my car that I could get the same halp and respect for the problem at hand. I know 99% people on here are genuine and its a great forum. Even people reconise the car from the forum and say I'm "funnyimpreza" etc seen your car online looks sweet etc. Good work guys finding the car.

yeah i have to agree its so good to see this, especially as now the police rarely do anything about things like this. i can remember my dad had a Land Rover Discovery limited edition (think it was called a gemini) it had all the bull bars and loads of spot lights on it and it got stolen off the drive and when the police officer asked for a discription of it my dad got half way through telling him what it looked like and the police officer closed his book and was like yeah i know the one your talking about its a lovely car, you wont see that again!

I think it's got to the stage, where the police have seen too many stolen cars to begin to even care about looking for a stolen car. The internet has became a far more effective tool for finding cars, there's been countless awesome threads where you watch the story unfold and the car become closer to being tracked down. If anyone remembers the Mazda MPS?? in America, it ended a load of forum members tipping up to the house where the stolen car was.

I love how the motoring world really pulls together when a car goes missing, as whether it's on strathycruise or pistonheads (Night/Day), everyone can empathise as to what it would be like to have your keys in your pocket but no car.
