Beach 110mph Caught
Discussion
Hi all, not be nosey but I'm curious as to what car was caught doing 110mph along the beach this week...because if its who I think it was...he tried racing me along king street (accelerated hard in a powerful car for over 15 seconds..and in that type of car would I estimate would take him to over a ton easily, as I drive the same car) minutes earlier before speeding off at the lights and heading onto the beach front. I said no at the lights but he still went for it passing multiple cameras upon the way (king street) and me and my close friend jaws dropped witnessing what we saw...I stalled pulling away as I couldn't believe it.
I just wanted to confirm it was him...not causing any trouble or problems on the forum (hence why I've not included any details). I just was curious how great grampian police are...because what I witnessed was mental.
I'm up for a race on a country road at night but notAberdeen city centre on a friday midnight as the pubs are closing and clubs opening!
leave feedback if you know more...thanks guys
P.S I don't want names or numberplates...just the car type and colour.

You probably want to rephrase some of the latter parts of that post...
It's been quoted now so that takes care of that although part of me is curious as to why To clarify in case anyone doesn't get what I was meaning, it was only the bit about racing being Ok at night in the country that OP may have wished to rephrase...

Let me get this right, racing along a beachfront is mental, but posting an offer of a race on a public road, on a public forum, where your profile gives your name, car type and city you live in, isn't mental?I'm up for a race on a country road at night but notAberdeen city centre on a friday midnight as the pubs are closing and clubs opening!

P.S I will be honest I do like driving fast...but there's a time and place...not midnight in the city centre area on a friday night!!! Be honest who dosen't drive a little over the limit now and again??? Who's given their car a squirt or burst of speed along the road and slowed down! Come on "Pistonheads"

This was a good qoute from the police:
"To be reported for driving at twice the speed limit on any road is bad enough, but to commit the offence on the Beach Esplanade, which is a road that publicly receives a significant amount of police attention, is unbelievable." Ch Insp Tom Forrester, head of roads policing

Fair enough but posting the following on a public forum is not advisable:
Imagine for example you were stopped by by the police whilst overtaking and wrongly accused of racing...

These type of quotes can and have been dredged up and used in evidence against people...Imagine for example you were stopped by by the police whilst overtaking and wrongly accused of racing...

Ok I admit that was a wrong statement. I meant it in the other sense, not in the reckless sense...I would never put my car at risk...funnyimpreza said:

I meant everything has a time and place...if the conditions are right and your out the way of anything...I mean the sticks (I have the advantage of living in the Highlands)...you know the roads very well I agree something could go wrong but i do like the freedom of the open road...I never ever speed in built up area's ever...Children and old or disabled people...or evn drunks late at night.

I'll sleep at night knowing you wouldn't put YOUR car at risk, glad to hear you're thinking of you and not other road users. There's a difference between pushing on a bit and enjoying your car, and racing on public roads, how do you know the person you're racing knows the roads or is a competent driver (assuming you are), if there's an incident you're still involved whether you've hit anyone or not.
ETA I realise my posts are being taken as being a bit dull by some, including the OP, but I live near some good driving roads myself and I've lost count of the amount of times I've had guys racing overtake and pull in inches in front of me because a car is oncoming or they've not anticapted a bend in the road.

Look forward to the time a deer runs out and collides with you.
