hey guys

Does anyone have any idea for something new along this ilk? I know there is the Highland Hoon in May and the proposed Nurburgring trip. Just wondering if anyone fancies a simple meet up and lunch around the Glasgow area?

Recently drove some beutiful roads near Moffat. Amazing scenery and nice open challenging but safe roads. Just saying, but happy for any ideas.

Don't want to stand on anyones toes. Perhaps Sunday 1st or 22nd March if these dates don't conflict with anyone elses plans on here?

Idea would be early meet; through the Clyde Tunnel for no good reason; Meet somewhere convenient if people form the East joining us (on time would be great!); Nice relaxed drive without me being stopped by curious petrolhead police and being slagged by everyone; and a nice place for lunch and a chat; different route home?

Post your views and suggestions?

Earplugs, and grout for the tunnel... wink

I'm sure I could be persuaded to go for a wee drive, certainly on the 22nd...

22nd would be better for me depending if I am offshore or not. Gives me time to get the TVR back and bed the engine inbiggrinevilbounce

Last years tunnel run was great fun. Always good to start there.

I'd probably be up for that if it's ok to tag along and as long as no-one minds a volvo trying to keep up!

Sunday the 22nd of March seems the prefered date? A usual with my work and appaling car relaibility, I may have last minute changes to my availability, but if is arranged then I may not be essential.
Can i suggest,9.30 am at Glasgow harbour? Same location as for Oban run?
Any cars other than Nissan Micras welcome!
Looking for suggestions for a nice run?
I can get routes around Moffat area as a mate lives there and took a Barchetta run about the place. The Moffat Selkirk Road is great. I know some other people in that area and they coiuld give ideas for a place for lunch. It is a boring 60 mile camera van alley motorway slog to Moffat though from Glasgow which is the main issue. The old A74 can be used for part of journey.
However open to ideas and suggestions.

Would an East/West rendezvous in Biggar make sense?

A pleasant and convenient stopping-point before Broughton,Tweedsmuir and on to
the Moffat to Selkirk road.

Meeting at Biggar would be nice. Havent been there for a few years, but used to have a lot of parking in middle of High Street and a nice cafe at the end of it?
If left glasgow at 10am would be in biggar comfortably by 10.45am.
Can we pencil in meeting biggar then?
For Edinburgh folk, make that 10.30 in case they want to spend an hour chatting in the car park before leaving like they did in the Oban run!
Are people ok with the Moffat Selkirk road?
I can make enquiries this Sunday about stops and routes?
Can we start a list of those wanting to come if someone knows how to do that!

That road was well sighted and nothing coming the other way. It just shows what an rx8 can do if its in the right gear.driving
