Hi I am looking to get trackday insurance for a one off trackday? Has anybody got any recommedations for any companies? I am looking to insure a 57plate audi tt. The car is not mine but I am insured on it. And before anyone says anything I do have the owners permission to use it for a trackday!

Anyhelp would be great!

http://www.competition-car-insurance.co.uk/home.ht... do it, but it's expensive and remember it won't cover any damage you do to other cars!

I insured mine for the first half dozen days, but gave up... as it was costing more than the trackday!

Never bothered with TD insurance myself on the premise that "if you can't afford to stack it, don't track it". TD insurance is expensive and often the cover is limited to a value significantly less than the value of the car, especially in a more expensive model. That said, the few incidents I've seen on track I think were mostly repairable with a few panels and a respray, perhaps only one (rolled) potential write off, so you may wish to go for it for some peace of mind. Risk not that high provided you remain sensible (and remember you are driving someone else's P&J!)
