urban/industrial area for photoshoot? Edinburgh West.
Discussion
There's a dude comin up next week to do a photoshoot of my Hensen for a kitcar magazine. Looking to find an urban kina abondoned industrial location for it. Any ideas? Ill be pickin him up from edinburgh airport so ideally somewhere thats not too far away. Will take a wee drive around to see what i can find at the weeked, but any pointers or places to check out would be great. Thanks
Out Newbridge way would be good - a few whisky bonds and deserted other such places.
Bit of a wilderness TBH.
Newbridge Industrial Est - out of the airport and head west, take first left at Ratho Station (before ped. cross bridge) then right turn.
If you want a recce, give me me a shout.
Cheers

went out today and found a perfect derelict warehouse complex in newbridge. Its halfway through being demolished but i spoke to the security guard who said it would be ok to get in to use it for the shoot. Thanks for the other suggestions, will keep them in mind for other occasions. took this pic of one corner of the place, the complex is massive and has loads of indoor bits too. Perfect.
Thursday went really well, weather held up and the slight overcast light really helped. Took a bit of persuading to get the site manager to let us in tho, saying sepa was comin down that day.
Its amazing what a professional photographer and some lighting can do, the quality of the photos are superb. It will be in the Aprill issue of Complete kitcar magazine out on the 3rd friday of March, so about 4 weeks. Its an interesting read anyhow especially if you dont normally read kitcar magazines.
Thanks again for the suggestions, plenty places for future photo's.
heres a wee taster for everyone. Ill let you know when the magazine's published so you can all go buy a copy!

Might want to check that the mag is happy for you to post the image before publication
(Looks good )
He sent me a selection after the shoot and said i could use one as a taster before it came out. Will post some of the others once the mag has been out for a month or so. (Looks good )
