Aberdeen Snow - Road Conditions
Discussion
No problem. There's been a bit of snow but not much. Usual snow-induced heavy traffic on main roads slowing things up because people use the main roads instead of minor ones "just in case it's bad".
I had the day off today to do stuff I needed to do and have been driving in and around Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire (Banchory, Sauchen, thereabouts) and (apart from getting snowed on while I was stacking logs) it's been a nice day.
Be careful of car parks & turning off fast roads into minor roads with slush on them, but otherwise it's fine.
John
PS: maybe you'd better read this just to get another perspective.

Depends where they were. If around the scene of the two accidents it would be to soak up fuel I believe.

How come I've seen two gritters out tonight, it's PLUS 7 degrees outside!!!
I've given up trying to work out the logic behind them, minus 9 for a week solid and never see one, plus 9 and theyre out!! And it's not even a Sunday getting paid double time!!Gary

Nope, one on the Parkway and the other on the Ellon dualer. I am not one to complain but it's crazy, I couldn't get out my street last week because of the snow. Pretty sure any letter\email would be binned by the council anyway. How can they justify it?Edited by scz4 on Thursday 19th February 12:41
Where on the Parkway? I was going down towards Tesco from BoD about 9-30 this morning and at a standstill. Turned round and went another way.
