Anyone have any guidance on this?

I have new car coming sometime after April, but we aslo have separate policies for :
A family car #1
My everyday driver #2
Limited milage poicy on car #3
Offroad policy on car#4

just a thought when the new car (#5) comes along...

thanks in advance

I looked into the Multicar thing a year or so ago but didn't take it any further. Can't remember the actual figures but there didn't really seem to be that great savings to be made over individual policies and specialist / classic insurers, although I guess that would depend on the individual cars. Eg the discount for having the Exige as part of the Multicar policy was apparently 20% off the full premium but was still more than I could insure it for individually. Also, having a limited milage / agreed value policy for the F355 was so much cheaper than any other policy. Also, when I recently got the Evo TME, the quote I got from Admiral (one of the more well known Multicap folk) was actually over 3x the premium I got elsewhere. I was also a bit uncomfortable having all the eggs in tho one basket as it didn't leave much room to wiggle if the renewal premium went up a lot, but thats probably just me being paranoid smile
Maybe things are better now and I would be keen to hear how you get on.

I've just added a T4 to the fleet, got a multi from Admiral for it and the Cerbera, all for less than the Cerbera renewal quote was, reckon I saved about £350.
Check them out on line and play about with the quotes, was also cheaper if I added my better half !!!!

Looks like three's the max doing it online. You could phone and ask, if it's of use to anyone, once I got the quote I phoned to pay, they then checked on any more deals, gave me another £50 noff the online price, and reduced my excesses.Happy, as long as they are hassle free in the event of a claim.

5 cars £1200 fully comp, which I think is not bad considering one is just below 500bhp and one just over

Tried pricing this about 6 months ago for all 5 cars and couldnt find anty way of getting it cheaper than individual policies. Saying that we had some extra NCB's, the way we ended up doing it was:-

Ferrari 348 - Classic policy with my full NCB
Porchse Boxster S - Wifes full NCB
BMW 840 - Second policy I had with 3 yeras NCB
BMW 318 - Second Policy wife had with 1 year NCB
Freelander - Specialist 4x4 policy which was about £120 !!!

I think the total price for the whole lot is about £1500....might give admiral a call for a quote however and see what they can do..

I just had a brief look through some of mine:
F355: Classic / agreed value policy £330, Elise 111R £285, Exige S1 £305, Evo VI TME £330(ish) etc.
The Multi Car thing really didn't come close for me. Guess the moral is to keep shopping around.
