If you have any contacts on the oil rigs, i.e. anyone with purchasing power.

I think you will find most "purchasing power" is done shore side through our buyers. We have approved vendors on purchase agreement. We don't just shop anywhere. (although I would love to sometimes laugh)

yes no point in buying it cheaply elsewhere when you can get it at rip off prices from an approved vender

Mark, I can assure you that almost all purchasing is done through the onshore buyers in Supply Chain Management and not from the rigs or platforms themselves.

spot on! although having been on the other end of the spectrum I have seen costs escalate as other third parties HAVE to be involved which becomes more than taking the p**s

In addition to the above advice, you really need to get registered with fpal if you want a decent chance of doing busines with O&G companys in the UK.
