Just been watching the news and a 'luxury Sports Car' has crashed and I think gone on fire near Whitburn. Any more information?

Driver trapped in car which caught fire, passenger thrown clear. Driver did not survive. Not good!

I drove along the M8 last night towards Glasgow from Edinburgh and it was down to 30mph for a good few miles due to heavy snow falling! Visibility was really poor and the edges of the roads obscured by snow. Driving back again about midnight the roads were still slippery despite the gritters being out. No sign of a crash then but tragic to think someone fell foul of the conditions.

Sounds awful. I hope the driver had slipped away before the fire started.

Whitburn is my home town, I never heard any sirens last night too.

May have been pushing the envelope, but we all have at some time. Real shame.
