Anybody aware of an alternative to Murray for Aston servicing in Scotland or the north of England ?

You could try MP Supercars in Cockenzie, but I can heartily recommend Murray at the moment - they have really got their act together!

If it's for the newer range of cars then, assuming it's the DB9 in your profile you're referring to, Murray would be your best bet. I've not heard too much negative about them recently.

We put our DB6 down to Aston Workshop, just south of Newcastle, as they're better with the classics.

I was indeed thinking DB9 - slightly alarmed by a thread in the Aston section of Pistonheads about year 4 servicing costs being £3.5-4k from an Aston dealer but much cheaper from independant specialists!! At these sort of numbers it is probably worth a trip to Manchester in a years time but I just wondered if there was anything closer . I think you need the Aston kit for servicing a DB9 so I doubt whether some of the names mentioned in Scotland will be geared up to do it . Nothing against Murray on the servicing side - I have used them once and they were fine but expensive as you would expect for a monopoly . Their new and used car pricing however always looks ridiculously expensive compared with dealers in the South which makes me suspicious about future servicing costs.
