Car mags

i've got thousands of car magazines from the 70/80/90's that i have to get rid of soon. they consist mainly of practical classics,autocar,what car?,street machine,custom car,auto express,classic car,classic and sportscar and many others.

does anyone know of any dealers who specialise in car magazines? i've had a look on ebay and that looks like a long way to sell them?

at present i'm trying to get them into some sort of order but am running short of floor space!

if anyone has any ideas, let me know!

(the pile of mags must be about 10' x 10' x 5'!)

I'd be interested in purchasing anything with articles covering BMW from the 70's and 80's. Especially roadtests and comparisons.

In fact I love old car mags full stop, especially things like Autocar and Auto Express. How much do you want for the older mags that covered then current cars (if you know what I mean)?

cheers mr pod! i like that idea. reckon i've got enough to fill two transits worth. im in the process of sorting them into year bundles.

bob, i'm still bringing mags home. as soon as i get a decent bundle i'll let you know. dont want much for them, just glad they're getting used.

if you are getting rid of magazines orwant to sell tehm I muight be happy to take some of the classic car ones from you for the 80's. May take a year or two or a decade!
Can you ovt me with yourlists and hopefully could see if culd buy some from you!
I cut out the pages from mine for years to condence them and have 16 lever arch folders of old ones, wish I had kept them intact!

I was hoping you were looking for some when I opened the thread as I have circa 1200 up in my attic of a similar vintage and similar content to yours...albeit with a high percentage of Enjoying MG and the MG Car Club's magazine (whose name escapes me presently!).

It's fun to look back to the days when an auto-rewind cassette deck was the latest technology, and only the centre pages and cover were in colour )
