Hi, Just took the Cerbera out to keep everything moving. When got back noticed water dripping from each small drain either side of the radiator panel, definately coolant , no leaks from hoses, or top radiator plug.Possibly the radiator itself.
Oh well , suppose the Cerb must think it needs a belated Xmas present !!!
Anyone recommend someone who could recore it localish ( I'm in Forfar.)?

I know its not local but i'm sure the power of Ph could see people passing that way ( myself included ) - There was a company at the bottom of Hamilton ( just off the roundabout where the expressway meets the M74 ).

They done one for me years ago and it was first class, anyone local to Hamilton / Motherwell / That side of the Weeg that can advise if they are still there and who they are?!?!

Al

Hi Alan

I re-cored my Griff rad a couple of years ago at Serk in dundee. Just of hawkhill. About £90 I think. I'll try and get the phone no for you.

Right - spent the last half hour looking into this. Not just cause I'm a nice guy but I have noticed a small amount of vapour coming from mine and was thinking about a re-core anyway.

Serk have been bought over by Partco who now don't do rads anymore. I used to run Arnold Clark in Dundee and we are now using Dacers, Charleston Drive, Dundee. 01382668169 . Ron is coming back to me with an idea on price. I'll let you know.

Hi Allan, I popped into see about the re-core today. I showed them my radiator to get an idea on cost. He thinks It's a landrover radiator adapted to suit the cerb. About £150 for a full re-core or for a re-furb about £80. Mine doesn't seem to bad so I might just get it re-coned at some point.

Need to get my steering rack out for a re-furb and do all my whishbones first so I'll leave the rad for a while. They are a part of Tayside Motor Factors. Down at they back of the video shop on charleston drive. Let me know how you get on. You can maybe give me any hints for an easy removal.

Well in true TVR style, removed the F1 panel, and started her up to see if I could find the leak, up to temperature, both fans on and off as should be, even had the manifolds glowing red, and........ NOT A LEAK IN SIGHT !!!!
Decided to leave just now and see, didn't want to remove aircon for no reason.
