Has anyone had one of these single seater drives giving to them as a present?. I've searched the forums but cant seem to find anything about what the day was like or if I should change it to another drive instead. The gift voucher is called 4th gear.
Thanks folks

ive had 2 of them a few years ago and they were great!.

Since then ive done a track school, 100s of track day laps in the Cupra and 3 trips to the `Ring but as an intro to trackdays and even a fun day out i cant fault it.

I did one a couple of years ago.

See if you can upgrade to the full package with single seater, skid pan and rally cars.
A much better day out.

Single seaters were awesome, especially the gear changing mechanism. For something totally different and brilliant fun, it has to be the one.

It's a lot of fun, I did it a few years back and managed to sneak away with the best driver trophy biggrin

I had a bit of a moment going into Duffus a little too hot, dead easy to catch though yes

Thanks for the replies guys. I know I can swap it for other things to drive, but how often will I get a drive in a single seater.

I did it last summer got single seater package and upgraded to include the rally driving. Brilliant day out. You get 3 laps in the leon cupra, 1 demonstration lap in the leon and 7 laps in the single seater. Just make sure its not raining cause you cant see anything!!!! Also came away with 3rd place overall I thought wasnt bad.

i had the option to do these, but opted for the legends... They were out at the same time as the single seaters.

wish i had went for the single seaters to be honest - i really didnt enjoy the legends - they were restricted so were bloody slow
and being 6'3, the seating position wasnt the most comfortable.

just make sure that you dont end up in the kitty litter - you'll spend the rest of the session in it and wont get your money back! one of the guys that was out with me spinned it at the hairpin on the first time round it, then had t sit it out there for the rest of the session!

ps.
also done the rally experience - i loved that as the instructor was quite happy for me to push it and get some sideways moments

I heard that story about the guy who spun out and was left there. I find that really harsh and if it happens to me I wouldn't be chuffed.

In the single seaters I spun out of Duffus Dip on my third lap after discovering third gear, caving in the rear end as not even the kitty litter could slow me down. I got a fresh car and a fresh 7 laps.

Got my money's worth for a change!

Be very careful of what you wear on your feet for single seaters, the pedals are close together and some decent footwear is essential, close fitting more than anything else, not necessarily expensive, the old style baseball boots for example.

I did Legends unlimited last year. In the morning it was a big group and the cars were restricted it was okay. In the afternoon they took the limiters off and it was so much better and faster. It was well worth the extra doing the full day.
