Parking in Edinburgh?
Discussion
Im heading up there this week and looking for some parking suggestions form locals....somewhere safe.
Its not an overnight job, probably 4 hours max.
The only time ive parked in Edinburgh was a couple of years ago, satying at the Hilton IIRC I was told on the phone they had secure parking...arrived asked where to park at which point I was directed to some watse land over the road....
Cheers in advance.

Whereabouts are you working? Geographically, I mean.
Right in the centre, happy to walk a bit if theres better options though. Is the on-street parking ok in the centre?EVLXGE said:

Damn, I should have thought of that I'll happily sit in it for 4 hours for whatever the current NCP parking rate is
Anyway, as well as St James, there's also an NCP jobbie (think it's NCP anyway, certainly a multi-level thing with machines) below the Castle.
Or there's the Omni.
I wouldn't try too hard to find on-street. Most of the place is covered by permits now and trying to explain how to get to the few little streets that aren't, and then you trying to find them, would be a massive pain in the bum
Or there's always the airport and a 15 quid taxi or 5 quid return/20 min journey bus.
