Evening folks.

Recently picked up a mk2 golf gti 16v. It has the standard BBS rm alloys fitted however they are pretty gubbed. I would like to put a set of split rim versions on of the same wheel style, nothing too outrageous however, possibly an inch wider if anything @ 15 x 7.5.

Does anyone have a set lying about their shed or are wishing to part with. I would also consider a standard set for refurbishment.

Regards

John

4 stud or 5 stud? Mk2's are usually 4 stud but i've seen some with convrsions. I'm condidering getting rid of my BBS split rims off the Bora soon and they are 5 stud.

I will ask about for you. They are usually pretty pricey though.

May not be what you are after but I have a set of OZ 5 spokes sitting in my garage. I used to have them on my mk2 GTI and, although not standard, they looked good and didn't spoil the look of the car.

I took them off the car before I got rid of it but have never got round to selling them. Just let me know if you're interested.

Hi John

The standard rims on your Golf should be BBS RA.RMs are 2 piece split rims and were an optional extra, they only came in 15 x 6.5j.If your looking to go 7.5 wide you would need to look for a set of RSs (3 piece) in that size or buy aftermarket outer lips for RMs.
They tend to be very pricey for a mint refurbed set.Even for a set in poor condition your looking around the £300-400 mark.RSs fetch even more.Best places to try are www.edition38.com classifieds or contact http://www.the-polisher.com/ He is based in Govan Glasgow although works away two weeks on two weeks off,be patient. However he is the BBS guru around these parts and further and his work is first class.

Cheers Rus.
