Edinburgh to Inverness - Road advice
Discussion
Afternoon PH'ers,
Me and 'tha burd' are heading off a few days in the Highlands tomorrow. I'm looking for a good driving route up to Inverness. Would like to avoid the A9/A82 route and take something more interesting. Any ideas? Don't mind if it takes all day, we can stop for lunch and make a day of it.
Cheers in advance,
Tom

Well A9 is straight up..
A82 is West...
So go East.. well Easterly
past Knockhill to Dunning then skips the back of Perth up to Blairgowrie then Glenshee (A93) and the Lecht (A939), stay on that and then Cawdor to Inverness. Not much in way of fuel stations for car or person.. but fun enough.
