This is a bit of an odd request but I'm game to try anything.

I am getting married next year to a complete petrol head. I would like to arrange some nice transport for my fiancé as a surprise for the wedding morning. I can’t spend a huge amount as we have already hired cars for the bridal party. We require a sports/posh car to take him from Newburgh to Castle Fraser near Inverurie on the 30th May 2009 (Saturday morning about 10.30 am departure from Newburgh).

We thought there may be someone within this forum who has or knows someone in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire who has a really nice sports/posh car who would be happy to come to our house and then drive him to the wedding. We would obviously pay for their time and fuel etc, but it would be a lot cheaper than paying a car hire agency – in addition I just can’t seem to find a good agency with chauffeur driven sports cars in Aberdeen. He would ideally like an Aston Martin Vantage DB9 or a Ford Mustang, but we understand that this is pushing it!!!

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks,

Nikki

Im sure you'll get some offers from the owners that trawl this forum, I would have offered my plastic fantastic Noble but think i'll be away on holiday then, good luck for the big day!

My Viper will be back on the road by then. If you don't mind your fiance being too deaf to hear the minister during the service smile

Hi,

I know that you said you didn’t want to use a car agency but maybe you should try Rio Prestige in Edinburgh.

They can provide a chauffeur driven sports cars plus depending on the age of your fiancé, it might be possible for him to do the drive from Newburgh to Castle Fraser himself which would make it really special.

Just an idea anyway

Get back to watching fast and the furious Gareth

My car has never broken down, granted insiginificant things do break from time to time but it has never failed to start nor has it let me down.

There are couple of companies in northern Scotland hiring out classics, but not many. Have a look at www.classiccarhireworld.com/contentok.php?id=3015

So much cheaper to have someone drive the groom there, as a cheap but worthwhile favour.

Nice sentiment.

I'm sure someone with a real car will offer their services!
