CRAIL - MAX POWER FIRE SHOW 26TH SUNDAY
Discussion
Not likely. The idea of having to pay to spend a day on a crappy airfield in the pissing rain with a bunch of spotty teenage boys frothing over some skanky tart bent over the bonnet of a bodykitted Nofast, and watching ste cars attempt to beat a 20 second quarter mile due to the wind resistance of the Halfrauds tat and super glue covering their cars isn't exactly my idea of a fun day out.
With a bit of luck the fireworks will take out some of the scum that attend these events, and that will be the end of them.

You make it sound quite appealing, in a 'day out at the zoo' kind of way.... With a bit of luck the fireworks will take out some of the scum that attend these events, and that will be the end of them.
Changed days eh? Bet a load of us were big fans of Max P about ten years ago, even in it like i was.
Things changed dramatically, spoilers became huge, cars became pink and salmon, wheels were bigger than....well they were bigger than they should have been and as for the kits, they use to look good but ended up becoming all wrong.
We had some real goods days back then but i wouldnt be seen dead at a show like this nowadays. I still have my car from back in the day, have not driven it for 4 years though!

At show in B'ham
How boy racers cars usually end up, ouch
How she will look coming out the garage in a few weeks time. I'll never dry her, just keep her tucked away. 50,000 miles.
All fun and games!

even when I was 12 and actually bought max power the meets looked like what the bottom 3% of the schools grade curve would like to do on the weekends.
Its still like that - Sacrificing and education for coolness.I feel you're all being a bit harsh, some of these bods are surely tts but so are some of the drivers at KH, at least they are taking their P&J to a track of sorts, and there are some cars there that would embarass all of the critics over a 1/4 mile, quite often not too adulterated by Halfords either. Best one I saw was an older chappie with his grandson, running a tiny dragster powered by a hugely modified Briggs and Straton mower engine in the low 12s, was truely amazing. But I digress, I know the track is crap and is overpopulated with dross, but you've got to start somewhere.
