Indy Cars ???

It looks like the credit crunch is now hitting the Shire.

The Jap importer Indy Cars in Rothienorman, has been closed foe over a week now.

On holiday I dout it!!

I always wondered how they managed to stay in business. When they first started the ads had no prices against the cars and when he did start putting prices in they seemed to be high for what he was offering.
It does coincide with the tattie holidays though so he could well be in Florida with the family ??

The no price thing always put me off. I once phoned and he wouldn't give me any sort of indication of what they'd be looking for for a particular car over the phone. Said I'd have to make a visit - didn't bother.

I think there's at least one old thread in here with a few people saying that they weren't exactly made to feel welcome at the place.

I have been told they went bust.

I dont know for sure.

It is certainly one garage I will not miss.

I have not had a good experiance there and I have never heard a good thing from anyone else either.

I heard that they had ceased trading due to bankruptcy.

Having visited there once nearly 6 years ago and got treated to his full repertoire of put downs, I can honestly say I'm surprised they lasted that long.....

As I'm only a few miles from Rothie, so I pass by on a regular basis. I have been in twice over the past 5 years, looking a 4x4's, and got the sharp end PB's tounge. Your surprised - I'm astonished they have been around till now.

I'm sure the stock will go under the hammer at some point.

GOOD! he was the rudest man i have ever met i went all the way from Edinburgh to see a wrx with 8k in cash in my pocket and within 10 mins was in the car heading home. what a To55er!

Must admit I'm among the ranks of those not surprised to see them going bust, bad attitude to customers and very overpriced cars. Went to view a £10k car there a few years back and he wouldn't let me drive it as he told me he didnt think I could afford it!

I don't want / need another car (or so the missus tells me anyway).

It's the workshop equipment I'm interested in having a nosey around.
