Would have loved to have went to the gathering at the Hilton/Dunkeld. I am not tight but i do think that £395/couple is still OTT. PS -- Is it just me or does anybody else think it's ott, would like here what other TVRCC thought's are !! PS -- away this weekend in the tvr's for long weekend break at a fraction of the gathering price. thank you.

I'd say that was excessive.

Not sure what you are getting with the TVRCC, but a double room for 2 nights if booked with the Hilton is £139 per night, so £278 for 2 nights. what does the other £120 get you?

I think that you will find that your quoted rate is a bit out. The rate you quote is an online booking rate for first night dinner and buffet breakfast.

For two nights dinner bed and buffet breakfast the rate is £189 per night.

The TVRCC Celtic Gathering event rate is £197.50 dinner bed and full scottish breakfast including ceilidh function on the Sat night with welcome drinks etc and other entertaining items throughout the weekend as part of this club event. Not bad for an extra £17.

I know that the regular attendees will agree with me that this is very good value for this annual event.

Hopefully this clarifies your query.

As I said, I wasn't sure what you were getting with teh TVRCC.

Oh, and the cheapest room for 2 nights dinner Bed and breakfast is £159.

Not a member anyway, and I don't own a TVR, I was just replying to the OP.

Thank for the info, I was trying to relate it to BBWF 08 at Ettington Chase Hotel 4 star where approx 120 tvr [including myself]turned out for a fantastic weekend at a cost of £130 B/B. The Carribean Hog Roast Party Night with live band was £15 each[what a night]. The Spa was also lovely. PS -- these were special rate for TVR club members. Cheers John.
