Locked Out

Hi feel really stupid but wonder if anyone can help.
Car a Merc SLK 230 left sitting for several weeks when I went to try to open it with the remote fob Nada, tried another two still nothing, and to add insult to injury key wont go into lock (tried WD40) can get the boot open with key but thats it.

Obviously the battery is so dead that the whole system has shut down.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Suppose all else fails the window will have to get the big jollies.

Call the AA/RAC

see if there is anyway of getting the bonnet open, charge the battery disconnect the neg terminal and tap it on and off the battery terminal, i have done this before to open a few cars, some with fancy alarm systems.
